Barker, 35, reportedly engaged with Childs, stating he would have to shoot him before being shot 13 times. The shooting, which occurred in a busy theater district, also left another man wounded, though he survived. Childs was arrested by U.

S. Marshals on September 18, following the release of extensive surveillance footage that captured the shooting and identified him.
