Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey's re-election campaign has raised over $539,000 this year, setting a new record for mayoral fundraising in the city. His campaign has a total of more than $647,000 and nearly $450,000 cash on hand. In comparison, opponent Sen. Omar Fateh reported $213,000 raised but only $54,000 left in cash. Fateh's campaign manager highlighted that the campaign saw a major fundraising boost after receiving the DFL endorsement, increasing daily fundraising from $721 to $4,500.

The campaign finance reports, due Saturday, reveal financial standings ahead of the November 4 citywide elections, which include all 13 City Council seats and the mayor's office. Frey's campaign has attracted over 1,500 donors, with a notable influx of small-dollar contributors. Meanwhile, Park Commissioner Elizabeth Shaffer has nearly doubled incumbent Katie Cashman's fundraising in Ward 7, while challenger Lydia Millard significantly outpaces incumbent Aisha Chughtai in Ward 10. The fundraising landscape reflects a competitive election environment in Minneapolis.
