Mayor Frey, wife have second daughter

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and his wife, Sarah Clarke, welcomed their second daughter, Estelle Bloom Frey, on July 31, 2025. Estelle arrived healthy and happy, 10 days past her due date. Frey praised Clarke, stating, “Sarah is a badass who handles it all with strength and grace," reflecting their joy as a family. Estelle joins their 4-year-old daughter, Frida, who is stepping into her role as a big sister. The couple faced discussions about expanding their family amid concerns about security in their living situation.

Clarke's midwife, Sakeena Futrell-Carter, is the wife of St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter and also delivered Frida. The Freys expressed gratitude for the support from their Minneapolis community. Their family now includes two cats, Ronda and Stella, alongside their daughters.
