City of Mill Creek Honors Veterans in Annual Ceremony and Parade
The City of Mill Creek is preparing for its annual Veterans Day Ceremony and Parade on November 11, dedicated to honoring those who have served in the U. S. military. The day's events will commence at 9:00 a. m.
with a Commemorative Ceremony at the Veterans Monument, featuring remarks from Mayor Brian Holtzclaw and other local officials. The ceremony will also include performances by the Mill Creek Chorale and the South Snohomish County Honor Guard. Following the ceremony, the parade will kick off at 11:00 a. m. , showcasing local veterans, community organizations, and several marching bands.
Notably, the 2024 Grand Marshal, Lieutenant Colonel John D. Hosey, will ride in a fully restored 1947 Cadillac, highlighting his distinguished military service. The parade will also feature vintage military vehicles, enhancing the celebratory atmosphere. Additionally, the Heroes' Café Giving Tree and Sock Drive will provide community members with a chance to support veterans during the holiday season. This initiative underscores Mill Creek's commitment to fostering camaraderie and improving veteran welfare.
