City Hires New Finance Director
The City of Mill Creek has officially hired Irmina Lumbad as its new Finance Director, a pivotal role that she steps into following the promotion of Laurel Brock to Deputy City Manager last August. Lumbad, who emigrated from the Philippines in 1999, holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of Santo Tomas and an MBA from the University of the Philippines. With nearly two decades of public accounting experience, she has served in various capacities within California's city and county governments, including her recent position as Fiscal Manager for the City of Bellevue's Parks and Community Services Department. Lumbad expressed her excitement about working in her city of residence and looks forward to collaborating with the city's leadership team and diverse staff to meet the City’s objectives. Her extensive experience in budgeting and finance positions her well to make a significant impact on the community's financial health.
Outside of her professional life, she enjoys long walks and engaging in creative activities such as baking, knitting, and quilting. Lumbad's appointment is expected to enhance the financial stewardship of Mill Creek as it navigates future challenges. The community is eager to see her contributions to local governance.
