Notice of Design Review Board Vacancy
The City of Mill Creek is actively seeking volunteers to fill two critical vacancies on its Design Review Board, a group dedicated to enhancing the urban design and visual appeal of the city. Board members will serve three-year terms, concluding on August 31, 2025, with monthly meetings held every third Thursday at 5:15 p. m. This board plays a pivotal role by reviewing site plans, building elevations, landscaping, and signage for various types of developments, including residential and commercial projects. Candidates are expected to have professional backgrounds in fields such as architecture, landscape architecture, or urban design, but residency in Mill Creek is not a requirement.
Those interested in shaping the city's aesthetic must complete an application and submit it by 5:00 p. m. on October 25, 2022. Applications can be sent via email to planning@millcreekwa. gov or delivered directly to the Planning Division.
Engaging community members in this capacity fosters a collaborative approach to urban development and design. This initiative represents an opportunity for professionals to contribute their expertise while influencing the visual quality of Mill Creek.
