City Manager Search Gets Underway
The City of Mill Creek is embarking on a crucial search for a new City Manager, engaging Colin Baenziger & Associates (CB&A) to facilitate the process. Project manager Lynelle Klein has already begun collaborating with City Council members and staff to clearly define the role and attract qualified candidates. Mayor Pro Tem Stephanie Vignal praised Klein's extensive knowledge and experience, while Council Member Melissa Duque highlighted the necessity for candidates familiar with Washington's specific regulations. The recruitment will officially commence on April 15, with a deadline for applications set for May 9. The City Council plans to review candidates on June 14, culminating in interviews and a public reception on June 24 and 25.
Klein expressed enthusiasm for the project, noting the positive interactions with the Council and staff. Mayor Brian Holtzclaw is optimistic about finding a City Manager who can elevate Mill Creek's potential and ensure a brighter future for its residents.
