Planning Commission Vacancy Notice 2022
The City of Mill Creek is seeking volunteers for its Planning Commission, as three terms are set to expire on April 30, 2022. The commission, which will operate from May 1, 2022, to April 30, 2025, is vital for shaping the city's land use and development plans. Meetings are currently held via Zoom but may transition to in-person sessions at City Hall in the future. Notably, residency in Mill Creek is not a prerequisite for serving on the commission, allowing a broader range of applicants to participate. Duties include preparing comprehensive plans and conducting public hearings on land use regulations, thus providing a platform for community input.
Current commissioners can also apply for reappointment, fostering continuity in the commission's work. Interested individuals must submit their applications by 5:00 p. m. on April 18, 2022, with application requests directed to communications@cityofmillcreek. com.
This initiative underscores the city's commitment to engaging the community in local governance and planning efforts.
