New Councilmembers Elected to Mill Creek City Council
The Mill Creek City Council officially welcomed two new members, Connie Allison and Melissa Duque, during a meeting on November 23, 2021. Councilmember Allison brings a wealth of experience from her eleven years living in Mill Creek and her career at Boeing, where she leads a team in Global Services. With her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, she is committed to supporting policies that ensure the city remains safe and fiscally sound for years to come. In her personal life, Allison enjoys knitting, fishing, and traveling, which reflects her connection to the community. Councilmember Duque, who joined the meeting via Zoom, has been involved with the city as a volunteer and recently chaired the Parks & Recreation Board.
With a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and History, she emphasizes the importance of effective communication and community engagement. Duque is passionate about creating a safe, thriving environment for residents and businesses, particularly focusing on access to green spaces. Both councilmembers' terms will last until December 31, 2025, marking a significant new chapter for Mill Creek's governance.
