Memorial Day Events 2021 - City of Mill Creek, Wa

Mill Creek is preparing to honor its veterans with Memorial Day events on May 31, 2021, designed to pay tribute to those who served in the military. The day will commence with a pre-recorded ceremony that airs at 9 a. m. on the City’s website and Facebook page, filmed at the Mill Creek Veterans Monument to ensure compliance with COVID-19 guidelines. Following this solemn event, a reverse drive-by parade will take place on Main Street, allowing community members to view military memorabilia safely from their vehicles.

Items on display will include a battlefield cross and military uniforms from various branches. The City is also expanding the parade to include Memorial boards, which will be displayed in local businesses to honor and share the stories of veterans from the community. These boards serve as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by service members and encourage community engagement.
