City Hires New City Engineer

The City of Mill Creek has appointed Frank Reinart as its new City Engineer, effective May 24, 2021. Reinart will oversee the Public Works Engineering team, focusing on essential infrastructure projects including transportation, parks, and stormwater management. City Manager Michael Ciaravino noted that Reinart’s experience and work ethic will enhance the city's ability to provide cost-efficient public services. With over 20 years in engineering, Reinart has held significant roles in both consulting and public works, including his most recent position as environmental compliance coordinator for Kirkland. This role involved guiding public projects through various federal, state, and local permitting processes.

Public Works and Development Services Director Mike Todd expressed excitement about Reinart's addition, highlighting his alignment with the city’s needs. Reinart is also set to collaborate with Todd on hiring a new project engineer and a surface water program coordinator. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity and a strong commitment to contributing to Mill Creek’s future success.
