Phase 3 Updates and Information
Washington State is moving into Phase 3 of its "Roadmap to Recovery," with Governor Inslee detailing crucial updates aimed at combating the COVID-19 pandemic. Effective March 31, vaccine eligibility will broaden to include individuals aged 60-64, critical workers in congregate settings, and anyone with two or more comorbidities. The state has launched a new web tool designed to help residents easily find vaccination appointments, enhancing accessibility in multiple languages. In tandem with these vaccination efforts, the eviction moratorium has been extended through June 20, with utility shutoff protections lasting until July 31. Furthermore, debt garnishment on federal pandemic payments remains prohibited.
Indoor visitation is now allowed in long-term care and nursing home facilities for those who are fully vaccinated, marking a significant step towards normalcy. These updates not only emphasize public health but also aim to support the economic recovery of the state. Residents are encouraged to stay informed and adhere to health guidelines, including wearing masks and maintaining social distance.
