News Release - Mill Creek Police Apprehend Suspect

On February 19, 2025, at 2:26 p. m. , Mill Creek Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle due to multiple offenses. The driver accelerated in an attempt to evade officers, striking two vehicles and causing damage, although no injuries were reported. The suspect continued fleeing onto the I-5 highway, exiting at Marine View Drive before crashing into a yard.

After abandoning the vehicle, the suspect fled on foot, leading to a search operation that included the deployment of the Mill Creek K-9 unit. Police dog Hondo played a crucial role in locating the suspect, a 46-year-old man from Tacoma, who was apprehended without further incident. He was subsequently booked into the Snohomish County Jail for various charges, including felony offenses. The Mill Creek Police Department is actively investigating the incident and urges anyone with information to reach out. This event underscores the ongoing efforts of local law enforcement to ensure public safety and respond effectively to criminal behavior.
