Officer Hunter Kleiner has officially joined the Mill Creek Police Department, having been sworn in by Police Chief Stan White during a City Council meeting on April 25, 2023. After starting his law enforcement career as a recruit in September 2022, he completed his training at the Basic Law Enforcement Academy at the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Center. As he embarks on his career, Officer Kleiner will undergo a 14-week field training program designed to further develop his policing skills alongside experienced training officers. This transition marks a significant step in his professional journey, particularly as he follows in the footsteps of his father, who has dedicated 24 years to the Port of Seattle Police Department. The department anticipates that Officer Kleiner's fresh perspective and training will contribute positively to community safety initiatives.
