Notice of Finding of No Significant Impact for Flagler Villas Project Funding
The City of Miami has announced plans to request $3. 5 million in Economic Development Initiatives-Community Project Funding to support the Flagler Villas project, which will feature a six-story rental building with 60 units. This initiative is part of the city's broader efforts to enhance housing in the Flagami neighborhood, addressing critical community needs. An assessment concluded that the project will have no significant environmental impact, eliminating the need for an Environmental Impact Statement as mandated by NEPA. The Environmental Review Record, which provides further details about the project, is available for public review at the Department of Housing & Community Development.
Stakeholders are invited to submit comments regarding the project until March 25, 2025, ensuring community input is considered. City Manager Arthur Noriega V has assured compliance with HUD regulations, which is essential for the project's approval and funding. Additionally, the city is prepared for any objections to the fund's release, which HUD will address in the following fifteen days after submission. This proactive approach underscores the city's commitment to transparency and community engagement in urban development.
