Marysville Police help save 3 lives in 4 days

Marysville, WALocal News

In a remarkable display of rapid response, Marysville Police officers saved three lives over just four days, showcasing their dedication to community safety. On July 9, they applied a tourniquet to a gunshot victim, preventing what an emergency room doctor confirmed could have been a fatal outcome. Following this, on July 11, officers encountered a man in his 60s who had been stabbed multiple times; their swift application of a tourniquet also saved his life. The suspect from the stabbing fled but was later captured by K-9 units from Lynnwood Police and the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office. The series of events continued on July 12 when police joined forces with the Marysville Fire District and other agencies to rescue a nearly drowned swimmer in Ebey Slough, who was treated on-site and survived without serious injuries.

These incidents underscore the importance of quick-thinking actions by law enforcement and emergency services in life-threatening situations. Local officials emphasize that such teamwork can make all the difference in emergency responses. The community's safety and well-being rely heavily on the dedication and training of first responders.
