Marysville Community Development Block Grant Program Achieves Major Milestones in 2024

The City of Marysville's Community Development Department reported on the progress of its Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program for Program Year 2024. Key achievements include the successful completion of the Marysville Food Bank's re-roofing project and renovations at the Boys and Girls Club, both finished ahead of schedule. A total of $284,935. 23 in CDBG funds has been expended to address homelessness and community development needs. Feedback from community service programs has been overwhelmingly positive, with many low-income seniors and children benefiting from the services provided.

Housing Hope has met its goals for eleven consecutive years, assisting families at risk of homelessness by providing housing and support services. The city tracks outcomes to ensure the effectiveness of these programs and identify additional needs. Despite the successful execution of these initiatives, the city acknowledges the ongoing challenge posed by rising community demands. The city remains committed to fulfilling the objectives outlined in its 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan.
