Gonzaga University's men's basketball team has dropped to No. 13 in the Associated Press Top 25 rankings after experiencing back-to-back losses for the first time since the 2018-19 season. Their most recent defeat was a 77-71 loss to Connecticut at Madison Square Garden, contributing to their decline in the rankings. The Bulldogs were previously ranked No. 3 on November 18 but have faced a series of setbacks, including losses at the Battle 4 Atlantis and against Kentucky.

In the coming weeks, Gonzaga will return home to play Nicholls State and Bucknell before a highly anticipated matchup against UCLA, currently ranked No. 18. This game is significant as it marks the fifth meeting between the two programs in five years. Despite the drop in the AP rankings, Gonzaga holds a solid No. 4 ranking in the NCAA NET ratings and has recorded five “Quad 1” games, indicating their competitive strength.

Their performance in the upcoming matches will be crucial in determining their trajectory for the remainder of the season.
