Scene in Lynnwood Congressman Larsen tours Neighborhood Center as opening nears

U. S. Rep. Rick Larsen toured the nearly completed Lynnwood Neighborhood Center on November 21, ahead of its public opening. The center, a $26 million investment, is located next to Trinity Lutheran Church and School and spans 39,000 square feet.

Larsen secured $3 million in funding for the project, which has taken over 15 years to develop. Trinity Lutheran is leasing the land to Volunteers of America Western Washington for $1 per year for 50 years, facilitating a collaborative effort to run the center. As construction wraps up, furniture and art are being installed, providing a first look at the center's interior.
