Her background includes over 13 years as the Executive Director of the Pike Place Market Foundation, where she led major expansions and fundraising initiatives. During the 2024-2025 academic year, the Edmonds College Foundation allocated over $848,000 in support, ensuring access to scholarships and essential services for students. Singh commended Sherman's strategic vision and commitment to social impact. Sherman aims to strengthen community connections with the student body and enhance the foundation's outreach. She has also held leadership roles in various organizations, including the Seattle Rotary.
