Boucsieguez, Cho, Owings face alleged financial campaign violations

Lynnwood, WALocal News

Three candidates for the Lynnwood City Council are under investigation by the Washington State Public Disclosure Commission for alleged campaign finance violations. Bryce Owings received a warning after the PDC dismissed complaints about incomplete sponsor information on his campaign website. Allegations against Dio Bousieguez include failing to disclose sponsor information and inaccurately reporting expenses related to digital advertisements. His case is currently in the assessment phase, and he is challenging incumbent Derica Escamilla for Position 1. Ki Seung Cho is also facing scrutiny for similar reporting failures as he competes against Isabel Mata for Position 5.

The complaints against Cho highlight missing vendor information and unreported expenses for campaign materials. All candidates are required by state law to fully disclose financial details, including sponsor information. The outcomes of these investigations could impact the candidates' campaigns and the integrity of the electoral process in Lynnwood.
