Hazel Miller Foundation gives over 100K in August to 12 organizations

The Hazel Miller Foundation awarded $103,581 to 12 nonprofit organizations in Edmonds during its August 2025 grant cycle. The funding will enhance local efforts in education, social services, and environmental programs. Significant grants include $10,000 to the Edmonds School District for its Native American Education Program, which offers cultural learning and academic support. Washington Kids in Transition received $20,000 to sustain its distribution center for families experiencing homelessness, demonstrating a long-term partnership with the Foundation. Board Chair Shannon Burley expressed the Foundation's commitment to community well-being, stating, "We hope these grants will help everyone see the beauty in all of Edmonds.

" The Hazel Miller Foundation's support illustrates a broader commitment to addressing community needs effectively. Organizations like the Jean Kim Foundation and Snohomish County Recovery Coalition also received funding, highlighting diverse community initiatives.
