Healthcare Summit Sept. 24 to address workforce and policy Challenges in Snohomish County

Economic Alliance Snohomish County will host the annual Healthcare Summit on Sept. 24 at Washington State University – Everett, connecting community members with health care leaders. This year’s summit, presented by Optum, Kaiser Permanente, and Premera Blue Cross, will focus on critical topics such as health equity, virtual care, and behavioral health access. EASC President Ray Stephanson emphasized the significance of addressing workforce challenges impacting every community in Snohomish County. The panel will feature experts from various health organizations, including Dr.

James Lewis from the Snohomish County Health Department and Dr. Mila Sprouse from Providence Swedish. Following the public discussion, a private roundtable will convene health care leaders to identify strategies for addressing workforce shortages and ensuring long-term access to care. Light refreshments will be provided, and the event is free, but RSVPs are required due to limited space. The summit aims to foster collaboration among health care stakeholders to shape the future of health care in the region.
