Edmonds schools foundation receives Gesa Credit Union funds

Gesa Credit Union awarded over $75,000 to six Western Washington school districts, including the Foundation for Edmonds School District, through its Affinity Debit Card program. This initiative represents the largest annual giveback in the program's history, with nearly $440,000 distributed to 31 districts statewide. The funds, generated during the 2024-2025 school year, will enhance academic programs, address technology needs, and fund extracurricular activities. Brandon Allison, AVP of Community Impact at Gesa, stated that the initiative reflects the collective efforts of members and communities in supporting education. Since its inception in 2015, Gesa has raised more than $2.

2 million for local schools through the program. The Affinity Debit Cards are available to Gesa members at no cost and allow contributions to local schools every time they are used.
