Rotary clubs raise 24K for Lynnwood Neighborhood Center playground

Four local Rotary Clubs raised $24,000 to create a new playground at the Lynnwood Neighborhood Center, enhancing youth development through play. A groundbreaking ceremony is set for 4:30 p. m. on Thursday, Aug. 14.

Barbara Lindberg, secretary and playground grant chair for the Rotary Club of Lynnwood, emphasized the importance of playgrounds in promoting exercise and social skills. This initiative aligns with Rotary's mission to serve the community and ensure the well-being of children. The playground will be utilized by the early learning preschool and Boys & Girls Club during daytime hours, supporting various aspects of child development. Rotary International has a history of backing playground projects, recognizing their role in fostering inclusivity and community connections. This investment aims to enhance the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth of children in Lynnwood.
