Lynnwood, WALocal News

Michael and Debbie Campbell have returned to Edmonds after 12 years of globe-trotting, having traveled to 95 countries and stayed in 330 Airbnbs. Their journey initiated from a suggestion by their daughter Mary, who introduced them to the concept of Airbnb, leading them to sell their possessions to fund their travels. They fostered connections with hosts and travelers worldwide, creating a vibrant online community with 18,000 members on their Facebook page, Senior Nomads. The couple highlights 12 important lessons from their travels, focusing on experiences over material possessions. They attribute their positive outlook on challenges faced during their adventures to a mindset of adaptability and resilience.

Michael noted that if they were to add a 13th lesson, it would be to always leave a place with gratitude. Although they have settled in Edmonds, they have plans for upcoming trips. Their story continues to inspire older travelers seeking adventure.
