Betsy Robertson noted that dry conditions and gusty winds have led to increased fire danger warnings. Many volunteers come from the retiree community, benefiting from more flexible schedules.

Various roles are available, accommodating different time commitments and skill sets, with training provided. The organization remains committed to recruiting volunteers year-round to maintain readiness for both local and larger-scale emergencies.
