Curfew Guidance for Downtown Los Angeles

Los Angeles, CALocal News

A curfew from 8 PM to 6 AM is now in effect in Downtown Los Angeles, covering an area defined by the 5, 10, and 110 freeways. Individuals exempt from the curfew include residents, essential workers, and those seeking medical treatment. Rideshare and food delivery companies may choose to operate during curfew hours but must comply with law enforcement requests for proof of service. Public transit will continue unless law enforcement determines a need for suspension due to safety issues. Residents should carry proof of residency, while employees must have documentation of their work status.

Hotel guests must also possess booking confirmation if stopped. These measures aim to ensure public safety while allowing essential activities to continue. Authorities will provide updates as the situation evolves.
