1 man killed, 1 hurt in machete attack in Downtown LA, police say

A machete attack in Downtown Los Angeles left one man dead and another injured early Sunday morning. The incident occurred just after midnight at two separate locations, with police responding to a call about a stabbing victim at Grand Avenue and Eleventh Street. The victim, a man in his 60s, was taken to the hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. A second victim, a man in his 30s, was found at Broadway and Olympic and is reported to be in stable condition. Police arrested the shirtless suspect nearby at 15th Street and Broadway, where they found what appeared to be the weapon.

Authorities have not yet released any details regarding the motive behind the attack. This incident raises concerns about safety in the Downtown area, prompting police to increase patrols.
