The Natural History Museum Los Angeles County has opened its Butterfly Pavilion, featuring a significant resurgence of monarch butterflies in the western U. S. The exhibit, which runs through August 24, requires timed ticket reservations priced at $10, alongside standard museum admission fees. Operating hours are from 9:30 a. m.

to 5 p. m. daily, with closures on the first Tuesday of the month and select holidays. This initiative aligns with broader conservation efforts aimed at protecting butterfly populations, which have faced declines in recent years. Admission to the museum is $18, with discounts for seniors and youth.

The museum is located at 900 Exposition Blvd. , Los Angeles, and aims to educate visitors about the importance of biodiversity and conservation.
