City of West Hollywood to Upgrade to a New Permitting System in August

Los Angeles, CALocal News

The City of West Hollywood is preparing to launch a state-of-the-art permitting and licensing management system in August 2024, which promises to significantly enhance the user experience for its residents and businesses. This comprehensive upgrade will replace multiple existing software platforms, leading to streamlined operations across various city functions, including Building & Safety Permitting and Code Enforcement. However, the transition will necessitate a temporary pause in certain services from August 14 to August 19, 2024, with staff unable to accept new applications or issue permits during this period. City Hall will still provide limited services at select counters, but residents should plan accordingly to avoid delays. The city is committed to maintaining open lines of communication, with staff available to address any community concerns before, during, and after the upgrade.

The new system, developed in partnership with Tyler Technologies, aims to consolidate information for more efficient sharing among city divisions. Key highlights include an online portal for tracking applications and fully electronic plan submissions. As the city moves forward, it appreciates the community's understanding and patience throughout this transition.
