The initiative aims to boost local confidence and invite residents and travelers to explore the city's diverse offerings. Bass stressed that the campaign sends a clear message that Los Angeles is ready to welcome everyone back. Facilitated by the LAEDC and various city and regional partners, the campaign reflects a collaborative effort to foster resilience and renewal in the local economy. It aligns with Bass’s broader vision to prepare for major upcoming events, including the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2028 Olympic Games.

Recent initiatives include the Sports and Entertainment Procurement Summit, which connected 1,600 local business owners with resources and networking opportunities. The campaign also features the launch of the City’s Contract Financing Program, designed to help small businesses secure competitive city contracts. “LA is Open” exemplifies the city’s commitment to supporting local businesses and enhancing tourism in a post-crisis environment.
