Los Angeles, CALocal News

The Youth Development Department (YDD) of Los Angeles has officially relaunched its Earn Learn Play website, now boasting a more user-friendly design and an expanded range of youth programs and services. This platform acts as a centralized hub for youth, their caretakers, and families, offering access to numerous free and low-cost recreational, educational, and paid internship opportunities throughout the city. Through an interactive map feature, visitors can easily locate programming by entering their zip codes, making it simpler for them to find nearby activities. YDD General Manager Lisa Salazar highlighted the organization's ongoing commitment to providing valuable resources to the community's youth. The website's relaunch is backed by collaboration with over 20 City of LA Departments, ensuring a comprehensive array of youth-oriented services is readily available.

This initiative aligns with the Summer of Joy campaign led by Mayor Karen Bass, Councilmember Monica Rodriguez, LA Unified, and GPSN. The YDD aims to foster growth and opportunity among LA's young residents, making a positive and equitable impact on their lives. The Earn Learn Play website stands as a testament to the city's dedication to supporting its youth and their families.
