The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for the L. A. region from November 13 through November 16, predicting moderate to heavy rain with peak rainfall expected Friday evening through Saturday. The City has activated its Emergency Operations Center and issued an Evacuation Warning for burn scar areas due to debris flow risks. The Los Angeles Fire Department has mobilized a 22-member strike team and additional swift water rescue teams to prepare for emergencies.

The Department of Water and Power stands ready to address potential power outages, and Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority has begun outreach efforts to assist vulnerable populations. Street Services crews are on standby to respond to roadway impacts, while L. A. Sanitation monitors the wastewater system for increased flow. Resources such as sandbags remain available for residents.

Angelenos are encouraged to sign up for emergency alerts at NotifyLA. org, and 311 service hours will be extended on November 14 and 15 for storm-related assistance. The proactive measures aim to ensure public safety and mitigate the storm's effects.
