Mayor Bass urged residents to prioritize safety and utilize resources like sandbags and emergency alerts. The Emergency Operations Center remains activated, coordinating with multiple city departments to ensure a swift response.

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power is prepared for potential outages, while outreach efforts target vulnerable populations, including the homeless. Following recent wildfires, the city has implemented measures to mitigate risks from debris flows. Jaime Moore was sworn in as the new Fire Chief, marking a historic appointment as the first bilingual leader in the department.
