Mayor Bass Announces Coordinated Preparation and Engagements Ahead of World Series Home Games

Mayor Karen Bass announced that Los Angeles is ready to host the World Series, with a focus on visitor safety and efficient traffic management. To ensure smooth operations, the L. A. Department of Transportation will deploy over 40 traffic officers around Dodger Stadium. The Automated Transportation Systems and Coordination Center will monitor traffic in real-time to adapt signal timings as necessary.

Additionally, the Emergency Operations Center will be activated to coordinate city services and monitor weather conditions. Angelenos are encouraged to utilize the Dodger Stadium Express, which will operate on demand, to ease congestion. The city has also established cooling centers for residents during the heat. Bass emphasized the importance of celebrating safely and responsibly as the city prepares for future major sporting events, including the FIFA World Cup and the Olympic Games. Los Angeles aims to showcase its culture and attractions to visitors from around the globe.
