Mayor Bass joined Angelenos for this month's Shine LA, marking over 30 service sites since the initiative's launch in April. The program invites residents to take pride in their neighborhoods through beautification efforts in locations such as Wilmington, North Harbor Gateway, and South LA. More than 1,000 volunteers have participated, engaging in activities like tree planting and graffiti removal, showcasing a unified spirit. Council President Marqueece Harris-Dawson emphasized the significance of LA's resilience as the city prepares for the 2026 World Cup. Councilmember Tim McOsker noted that community clean-ups foster connection and pride, strengthening local bonds.
