Drug use incidents on the London Underground fell to 470 in 2024-25, marking the first decline in three years, according to the British Transport Police. Transport for London (TfL) affirmed its commitment to crime reduction and safety across its network, collaborating with policing partners. The BTP noted the positive trend but stressed the necessity for ongoing operations to disrupt drug trafficking and protect vulnerable individuals.

Historical data shows fluctuations in drug use incidents, with 526 reported in 2020-21 and 506 in 2022-23. TfL maintains a presence of police officers and community support staff to deter crime and anti-social behavior.
