According to a survey conducted by the Felix Project, 21% of London food bank providers predict demand will double in the next year. Two-thirds of the 614 surveyed organizations expect some increase, with nearly 85% noting a rise in demand since last year. Many organizations are witnessing a growing number of first-time users, reflecting the dire effects of the cost-of-living crisis on households. Charlotte Hill, the Felix Project's chief executive, stated that recent hikes in essential bills have exacerbated financial pressures. The survey also revealed that 87% of food banks provide additional services such as debt advice and mental health support.

Dads House, a food bank in Hammersmith and Fulham, noted an influx of new clients, underscoring the ongoing economic challenges faced by many. Community organizations express concern over their ability to meet increasing needs as they strive to support vulnerable populations. The report highlights the urgent need for solutions to address rising food insecurity in London.
