London, UKLocal News

The Metropolitan Police charged Stanislav Carpiuc, a 26-year-old Romanian national, with conspiracy to commit arson linked to incidents involving properties associated with UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer. Carpiuc was arrested at Luton Airport on May 17 and is scheduled to appear in court soon. The charges involve a vehicle fire and two residential fires in north London, specifically in Kentish Town and Islington. He allegedly conspired with Roman Lavrynovych, who has been charged with three counts of arson with intent to endanger life and denied the charges during police questioning. A third suspect was arrested on May 19 in Chelsea on similar charges.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but significant property damage occurred. The incidents raise concerns regarding safety and potential political implications. The legal proceedings are set to continue, with hearings scheduled for both Carpiuc and Lavrynovych.
