Rohan Mehta, a 17-year-old from Kensington, has been awarded the Young Achiever award for his impactful project, In The Bag. Since its launch two years ago, he has distributed 130 hygiene kits filled with essential toiletries to homeless individuals in London. Rohan’s motivation stems from early experiences of seeing homelessness, prompting him to find practical ways to help. His project focuses on daily hygiene, critical for individuals seeking to regain dignity and prepare for job interviews. Recognizing the challenges of homelessness, Rohan aims to break the cycle of poverty by providing these essential items.

In March, he received the Young Achiever's Award from the mayor of Kensington and Chelsea, followed by a civic honor from Hammersmith and Fulham Council in April.
