Sisters of man shot dead 10 years ago renew appeal

London, UKLocal News

Ola Raji was murdered at the age of 21 on April 21, 2015, while returning home from a Champions League football match in Peckham, south London. His sisters, Zainab and Ruki, marked the tenth anniversary of his death by renewing their appeal for information to help find his killers. They expressed the ongoing pain of loss, noting the absence of their brother in family gatherings and the impact on children who never met him. The sisters emphasized that the case affects the safety of the entire community, urging witnesses to come forward. The Metropolitan Police are particularly seeking information from a female driver of a black Vauxhall Corsa and two males who were seen returning to Pear Court shortly after the murder.

Detective Chief Inspector Alex Gammampila described Raji as an innocent victim and reiterated the need for any details that could lead to the capture of his attackers. Crimestoppers has offered a £20,000 reward for actionable information. The appeal underscores the long-lasting impact of violent crime on families and communities.
