Heathrow reopens after 'hazardous materials' scare
Emergency services declared no hazardous substances were found at Heathrow Airport after a scare prompted the evacuation of Terminal 4 on Monday. Firefighters from the London Fire Brigade arrived at around 17:00 BST to investigate reports of possible hazardous materials, leading to the evacuation of check-in areas as a safety measure. A total of 21 individuals were evaluated for injuries, with one transported to the hospital and the remaining 20 treated on-site. The Metropolitan Police stated that the cause of the incident remains under investigation, while confirming that none of the reported injuries were life-threatening. Heathrow's spokesperson apologized for the disruption and confirmed that operations resumed shortly after 20:00 BST.
