Low-Cost Pet Vaccine Clinic Scheduled for Oct. 5 in Lewisville

Lewisville, TXLocal News

The City of Lewisville is partnering with the Texas Coalition for Animal Protection (TCAP) to offer a low-cost pet vaccine clinic on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 10 a. m. to noon at the Gene Carey Animal Shelter and Adoption Center. This clinic is designed to provide essential vaccinations for pets at affordable rates, making it easier for residents to keep their animals healthy.

Dogs will be vaccinated against diseases such as Rabies, Bordetella, DAPPv, and more, while cats will receive vaccinations for Rabies, FeLV, and FIV among others. In addition to vaccinations, other wellness services will also be provided at a reduced cost, promoting overall pet health in the community. Pet owners are reminded that heartworm prevention can only be prescribed following a negative heartworm test conducted by TCAP. For safety purposes, all dogs must be leashed, and cats must be in hard-sided carriers during the event. This clinic not only addresses the health needs of pets but also fosters a sense of community responsibility towards animal welfare.

Interested pet owners can find more information on the TCAP website.
