Lewisville City Hall will host a workshop titled "Coyote Coexistence: Living in harmony with America’s Song Dog" on October 10, featuring wildlife photographers and coyote experts Karin and Roberto Saucedo. Scheduled for 6 p. m. , this free event is limited to 50 participants, necessitating advance registration to secure a spot. Attendees will gain insights into the history and behavior of coyotes, debunk common myths, and learn strategies to keep themselves and their pets safe.

The presentation will also discuss the current challenges coyotes face as they adapt to increasingly urbanized environments and the seasonal behaviors that lead to more frequent sightings. Karin Saucedo, recognized for her wildlife conservation photography, serves as the Texas State Coordinator for Project Coyote and is a Texas Master Naturalist. Her husband, Roberto Saucedo, has dedicated the last eight years to studying coyote behavior in North Texas and is involved with the Advisory Committee for Texas Native Cats. This educational workshop supports the "Diverse and Thriving Neighborhoods" initiative of the Lewisville 2025 vision plan, emphasizing the importance of coexistence with local wildlife.
