His active involvement in organizations such as the Lakewood Youth Council and the Clover Park School District’s Superintendent’s Youth Advisory Council highlights his passion for uplifting his community. As Club President of Lakes High School’s DECA chapter, he recently secured a first-place award at the DECA area conference, demonstrating his competitive spirit and leadership skills. Washington has consistently maintained honor roll status throughout his high school years and has been the recipient of multiple scholarships, including the Making A Difference Foundation scholarship and the Elizabeth Wesley Youth Merit Incentive Award. With aspirations of pursuing a career in civil engineering, he is focused on creating accessible public infrastructure that enhances quality of life for community members.

His dedication has already afforded him opportunities, including a scholarship to attend a physics course at Brown University, where he applied physics to real-world engineering problems.
