Sound Healing Workshop is Feb. 24 - City of Lakewood

The City of Lakewood has opened registration for a transformative Sound Healing Workshop taking place on February 24, 2024, at the serene Pavilion in Fort Steilacoom Park. This workshop promises an enriching afternoon filled with Kirtan chanting, crystal singing bowls, and restorative yoga, aimed at promoting holistic wellness and community connection. Participants will explore expressive vocal practices through Kirtan, a traditional call-and-response chanting that enhances mindfulness and emotional release. Following this engaging vocal practice, attendees will be guided through a meditative experience featuring the healing sounds of crystal singing bowls, complemented by gentle restorative yoga postures. For those eager to experience Kirtan before the workshop, a Yin/Yang Yoga class is scheduled for February 8, 2024, allowing newcomers to try this unique form of chanting for a nominal fee.
