Volunteer Opportunities and Community Cleanup Event in Lake Stevens
The City of Lake Stevens is looking to fill critical volunteer roles within its Park Board, Salary Commission, and Civil Service Commission, notably a mid-term vacancy on the Civil Service Commission, which will expire on December 31, 2027. Residents are urged to take part in local governance, enhancing community representation and involvement. In addition, the city is hosting a free community cleanup event on April 26, 2025, from 9 am to 1 pm at Cavelero Mid-High School, in collaboration with Waste Management. This initiative not only encourages community participation but also emphasizes environmental responsibility. The city is also embarking on a significant construction project aimed at upgrading Main Street infrastructure, which will include new curbs and gutters.
These developments reflect Lake Stevens' commitment to improving local facilities and fostering community engagement. Mayor Brett Gailey's upcoming State of the City address on April 15, 2025, will further discuss the city’s accomplishments and future goals. Together, these initiatives underline the importance of civic involvement and infrastructure development in Lake Stevens.
