Robin Cain, a passionate runner from Lake Stevens, has accomplished the incredible feat of completing a marathon in every U. S. state, a milestone achieved by approximately 2,400 individuals. Beginning her running journey in 1996, she has since completed over 60 marathons and five Iron Man competitions, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to the sport. Her most recent marathon took place in Sacramento in December 2024, where she completed her seventh race of the year and her third after turning 60.

Cain attributes her success to careful preparation, including rigorous training and a focus on nutrition, as running a marathon can burn around 3,000 calories. A retired engineer, she also emphasizes the significance of having the right gear, particularly running shoes. In an effort to inspire others, she established the Lake Stevens Running Club, which now boasts over 400 members.
