Deepen Dialogue on Homelessness by Joining an Upcoming Focus Group

Kirkland, WALocal News

Kirkland, Washington, has initiated a comprehensive campaign to engage residents in discussions about homelessness and contribute to the city's Homelessness Continuum of Care Action Plan. Following two public forums that attracted over 70 attendees, the city will host three focus groups in March, providing a platform for community members to share their insights and experiences. Deputy Mayor Jay Arnold expressed the community's dedication to supporting vulnerable populations, emphasizing the value of civil dialogue among differing opinions. The focus groups will take place on March 17 (virtual), March 19, and March 24, with limited space requiring participants to register for one session only. This initiative aims to adapt the city's response to homelessness, reflecting the evolving needs of the community.

The discussions will center on the city's strategies and how they can be enhanced through collective input. Residents are encouraged to visit the Homelessness page on the City website for further information on ongoing engagement opportunities. This campaign not only addresses a critical local issue but also fosters a sense of community and collaboration among residents.
